This is a picture of Honeysuckle Weeks. If you watch Foyle's War, you've seen her as Samantha Stewart, the driver for Chief Superintendent Foyle. If you watch and you haven't fallen in love with her, your heart is made of stone and I can only pray the baby Jesus makes you a better person and right soon.
While she is a lovely young woman when dressed up all frilly, here is a picture of her in her crisp clean uniform on Foyle's War. The fellow in the front is Michael Kitchen, the star of the show and wonderfully understated British guy. If you haven't seen Foyle's War yet, Matty Boy says check it out. Good stories, good research into what it was like on the home front for Brits in WW II. Also, it reminds us that even in times of war, it's important that we catch lying criminals who hurt our efforts to make our country safer, and when they are caught and convicted, they are given equal justice under the law.
As to the recent Scooter Libby unpleasantness in the news that every blogger and their dog will be discussing this July 3, Mr. Speaker, I yield the rest of my time to the gentleman from MSNBC, Keith Olbermann, who will be having one of his Special Comments this evening asking for the resignation of the President and the Vice President. You might say, "Sure! Like that's going to happen!" and you would be right, but it's important that the idea that they are no longer fit to uphold the laws of the United States is part of the national debate. Maybe some Democratic senators and congressmen will buy a clue while meeting with their constituents this week and start impeachment proceedings on Alberto Gonzalez, Richard Cheney and George Walker Bush, in that order, please, if you would be so kind.
