Can anything positive be said about the outcome of our wars designed to transform the Middle East? Sure, we have a transformed Middle East! Here are the presidents of Iran and Iraq, Ahmadinejad and Talabani, shaking hands and signing statements and being all pals and stuff. This could never have happened under Saddam.
Oh, wait. Isn't Iran still on the Axis of Evil list? Oopsie.
Also, we have Turkey invading Iraq. That also would never have happened under Saddam. And we paid Turkey a boatload of money to be our allies at the beginning of the war, only to decide to limit their role once somebody figured out how much it would piss off the Kurds to have the Turks a major player in the Coalition of the Willing.
Why are the Turks invading? The Kurds are pissed off, regardless of the size of the Turks role in Operation Enduring Taxpayer Ripoff.
