Knowing that seriously geeky boardgamers are among the fondest fans of sci-fi both good and bad, a game was published this decade called Venus Needs Men! I have not played the game, but I decided to print a reproduction of the board game box cover art.
Why did you do that, Matty Boy?
Well, hypothetical question asker, here is a list of the exciting elements in the picture, and you can decide which one made it worthy of being posted here at Lotsa 'Splainin' 2 Do.
a) ray guns
b) personal jet packs
c) space ships with fins
d) mini-skirted eight foot tall amazons
e) plexiglass helmets with purple speakerboxes
f) a panicked populace of guys wearing hats
g) mini-skirted eight foot tall amazons
Choose carefully. There may be more than one correct answer.

I love those ray guns, which are obviously violet shrinking guns (not to be confused with shrinking violet guns) to make the little guys even smaller, but my personal reason for picture-posting worthiness would have to be the relatively little guys running around in a panic.

I got a copy of this game when it first came out.
Sadly, not much other artwork of the Venusians inside the game. Although there is a jet-packed Venusian on the logo side of every card. But all the artwork on the text side of the card, when they show an alien, it's a "little green man". The cover art with the great scale comparison is the best bit.
The game plays pretty well. The Venusians are arguably the most powerful faction in the advanced game. Their "Alluring" special power let's them sieze 2 Population points from Earth per action to other factions 1 per action. If they pick up the "Pheremone Lures" Technology through research (another +1 POP per action), they can be pretty unstoppable.
Hey Marty Boy,
Here is a great picture to add to your collection. It's the chalk work "Pavement Drawings" of Julian Beever:

What is really cool is that it is NOT "photo shopped" and has has real people in it. ENJOY

Thanks, Bob. That is a nice use of the 3-D chalk drawing.
