Is fifteen a lot?

Singer/Songwriter and former top model Carla Bruni has recently revealed that she had fifteen sex partners before she got married earlier this year at the age of 40 to French president Nicolas Sarkozy, who is thirteen years older than his new spouse and three of four inches shorter, which qualifies her as a gigantic child bride.

The press, especially in Europe, is in a tizzy over this revelation. Does fifteen make her a slut? Given that she has been of legal age for 22 years, is fifteen actually a rather modest number?

As an officially deputized representative of the 3.3 billion men on the planet that she did not have sex with, I believe that fifteen is not a lot, and under very specific circumstances, I think sixteen would have been just about perfect.

Just sayin'.

Oh, please. I have a hard time believing anyone cares about this to print news about it. Artists, and musicians in particular, have a duty, an obligation to display the sort of debauchery we civilians can only dream of emulating. Fifteen partners in (perhaps) twenty-two years doesn't begin to sway the boggle needle in my mind.

What makes her slut-ish is that she counted, and then told. It's ladylike (for future overly curious partners anyway) to stop counting after five, so you can honestly tell him (or her) you can only count your past experiences with one hand. Which is much better than counting that hand as the only experience.

No, fifteen partners does not make her a slut, unless they all happened at the same time.

What a strange job - to have people peering up your skirt all day.

I mean, I've heard of looking up old friends, but this is ridiculous!

15 is nothing!

Of course, being number 16 would be a hug hardship but I'll bet you will volunteer just out of a sense of duty. Right?

Yes, Karlacita! Ms. Bruni was more than happy to have pictures taken from low angles wearing short skirts. She took a lot of photos in her career, of course, but many of them that survive show more of the back of her thigh than they do of her face. Go figure.
