Good news is where you find it.

I realize that there is little good news these days unless you are a fan of a victorious sports team, but I would like to point something out that escaped the attention of the lazy corporate media.

In the month of December 2009, the press reported on no public appearances by Joe The Plumber. Yes, all of you who had December 2009 as the first Plumber free month in your "When is the press gonna stop quoting this pointless turd?" pool can officially collect your winnings.

If you Google "Joe The Plumber" and click on the "News" link, you will see there was nothing but references to Joe in December, no actual sighting. But, like terrorism, just because we don't hear from him for a while doesn't mean he's actually gone. January has him back making public appearances for Republican candidates in Wisconsin, Virgina and Arkansas.

Let's hope he can be just as effective for them as he was for McCain and Palin.

I pray you didn't awaken the sleeping fake plumber.

Thank heavens there is some good news. Watching the weekly (daily) Brad and Angie show has made me anxious for the fate of the world as we know it. If Joe the Plumber has disappeared from the media's radar screen, I can resume hoping for a better year to come.
What would we do without your watchful eye (bows humbly toward the East Bay).
