This blog is still alive, just in semi-hibernation. When I want to write something longer than a tweet about something other than math or sci-fi, here is where I'll write it.

Tesselations: Hexagons, squares and triangles at maximum contrast
Two quick ideas for this week. I made the patterns on a table that was too busy, so I pumped the contrast to turn it black.
There's more to come with the hexagons squares and triangles.
Oh cool--maybe I jumped the gun, but the word "tesselation" sent me over to Wikipedia and now I can say I actually learned something today. No overlaps or gaps, like a honeycomb or cracked mud, or some of those Eschers, or perhaps some really creative mosaic tile-work. How interesting...
Great meeting you, Matty-Boy, at Mikes last Thursday.

Great meeting you, Matty-Boy, at Mikes last Thursday.
It was nice meeting you as well. I'm trying to keep up the pace of a tesselation a week, usually published on Sundays.
